The new Volvo XC90 is a real family inspired SUV. It promises to deliver great interior comforts, ample cargo space and a handsome exterior that will turn heads.

As well as leather upholstery, multi function steering wheel and trip computer. Optional equipment includes satellite navigation, 6 disc premium sound system and blind spot sensor to name a few favourites.

Although the XC90's centre console looks very busy, it is well ordered and fuss-free. The driver's seat is comfortable and features a good range of adjustment, while a two-way adjustable steering column makes it easy to find the right position at the helm. Visibility is good, although the raised bonnet makes placing the front corners tricky, but overall a pleasant drive.

The XC90 comes in four options. The LE 2.5T 2.8 litre turbocharged five cylinder engine with 154kW of power; the 3.2 with 175kW of power 320Nm torque and 4x4 on demand, the diesel version 2.4 litre turbo intercooled 136kw power and 400Nm torque. And top of the line 4.4 litre petrol V8, this beast punches out a massive 232Kw of pure power and 440Nm of torque. The 2.5T and 2.4 diesel come with standard five-speed automatic transmission, the 3.2 and V8 with a six speed automatic.
