All models now have quad-cam cylinder heads, with the two-litre engine offering 118kw of power and 196Nm of torque in the 2.0R and 2.0R Sport. The 2.5 litre WRX engine has 169kw of power and 320Nm of torque.

Thanks to engine improvements and a 20kg lower body weight, the fuel consumption has been reduced to 8.8L/100km. The 2.0R & 2.0R Sport are available in 5sp manual or 4 sp auto. The WRX is available in 5 or 6sp manual.
