The Outlander has six in its range, three 2.4 litre four cylinder models and three V6s with levels of specification ranging from the LS, to XLS and on to the VR-X.

The base model LS is equipped with 16 inch steel wheels, while the XLS and VR-X models run 18 inch alloys. And while the Ls has halogen headlights, the others have gas discharge lights for improved clarity when driving at night. In addition the XLS and VR-X lights have automatic adjustments for heavy loads.

A further feature that has now been included in almost the entire range is a third row of seats, making the vehicle a full seven seater. This third row, which stows neatly into the floor leaving a flat luggage space, has also been added to the 2.4 litre XLS and VR-X specifications.

Entry to the Outlander is via the KOS (keyless operating system) the driver carries an electronic keycard which, as long as it is within 70cm of the Outlander's doors or ignition, allows the vehicle to be locked, unlocked and started without any need to insert a key or press any key-remote buttons.

Inside, the LS and XLS models have cloth covered seats, while the VR-X have leather heated ones. The VR-X also gets a custom-built Rockford Fosgate audio system which features a 650w amplifier with nine speakers.
